Alan Wake 2 has been released for Xbox, PlayStation and PC, with most reviews praising the deep psychological horror elements and puzzles that lie at the heart of each mystery.
Alan Wake 2 is a survival horror game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games. It is the second part of the Alan Wake game. The game was officially announced during the 2021 Game Awards ceremony, and in comparison with the first Alan Wake game, which was an action adventure game with themes Horror, Alan Wake II is a survival horror game played from a third-person perspective.
Players play as Alan Wake or Saga Anderson in two separate single-player stories, which can be played in any order the player chooses; Although the game’s opening sequence and ending sequence can only be played as Saga and Alan respectively. Wick and Anderson traverse environments and fight enemies using various firearms and a flashlight, the latter of which can be “focused” to make enemies vulnerable to firearm attacks. Focusing the flashlight drains its battery, players need to strategically use a limited amount of batteries and ammo to survive, and when enemies are close, Alan or Saga can perform an evasive maneuver.
