Alan Rachins, actor of ‘Los Angeles Law’, dies | LOS40

Sad day for the biggest fans of Los Angeles Law. One of its actors, Alan Rachinsdied this weekend as a result of respiratory failure at the age of 82, as confirmed by his wife, actress Joanna Frank.

In statements to The Hollywood Reporterhis wife has said that Rachins was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for health problems and died in his sleep after suffering cardiac arrest.

Alan Rachins became known in the world of television for his impeccable role as a lawyer in Los Angeles Law, where he put himself in the shoes of the lawyer Douglas Brackman throughout each and every one of the seasons that the series lasted (1986-1994). A work that earned him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work in 1988.

But this was not the only role that made him known on the small screen. Rachins also participated in Grey’s Anatomy, NCISand in comedy Dharma & Gregin which he played Larry. Additionally, he played a role in Showgirls (1995) de Paul Verhoeven.

And his professional story does not end there. Although he had a great passion for the performing arts, even though he enrolled in the Business School, he also participated in the scripts of other well-known works such as The fantastic car o Hill Street Sad Song.
