The Ecuadorian midfielder comes to the team from Atlético Mineiro.
This December 21, Charlotte FC announced the signing of Alan Franco. The Ecuadorian arrives from the current Brazilian champion Atlético Mineiro. Franco will enter the MLS team in a contract to one year loan with purchase option.

The 23-year-old midfielder will occupy an international spot in the Club’s inaugural line-up. The tricolor will change of airs for the following season, due to the little regularity at Atlético Mineiro.

Franco will meet with the Technical Director Miguel Angel Ramirez at Charlotte FC. The midfielder was a fundamental part of the squad Independent from Valle de Ramírez who triumphed in the 2019 South American Cup, starting the 11 games and adding two goals in the tournament.
Alan Franco is the second Ecuadorian to join Charlotte FC, after the arrival of Jordy Alcívar from the University Sports League.
