Video maker Alan Badoev shared his impressions of his only collaboration with Alla Pugacheva, which occurred in 2007.
Ukrainian video clip director and music producer Alan Badoev gave a long interview to Dmitry Gordon, in which told about his childhood and parents, important points concerning the war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, as well as about creativity and the great artists with whom he had the opportunity to collaborate. Of course, the main character on the list of the latter was Alla Pugacheva, for whom Badoev shot her final video for the song “Invitation to Sunset.”
According to the music video director, working with Alla Borisovna was amazing for him, although everyone prepared him for what would be very difficult. “I am always convinced: if you show a professional person that you are also a professional, then you simply create together. This is what happened with us,” – said Badoev.
The director recalled how, even before starting to work together, he sat with Pugacheva at a small table in a hotel.
“I sat down on the carpet, and she did it too. I spoke to her as a fan, admired her. But as soon as Alla Borisovna set a task that almost made me crazy, I realized that that’s it, now I need to turn on a professional . She said: “I need a clip about my life. And about my relationship with Christina”“.
As Badoev admitted, this was truly a significant work for him, which required a serious study of Alla Borisovna’s life. One day, the Prima Donna walked into the dressing room and saw the entire wall covered with her photographs. Then she said: “I love it when people get ready.”
During the conversation with Gordon, the music video director also agreed that Alla Pugacheva’s current position regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war evokes a feeling of joy and pride in her.
