guest ofWe redo the TV on RTL this Saturday, February 26, the singer Alain Souchon did not use the language of wood when Éric Dussart asked him why he had not continued his acting career after the success of the film murderous summer, in which he had played in 1983.

Today, Alain Souchon is a singer in his own right. Corn in the 1980s, he stood out as an actor in several films including Killer Summer. In Jean Becker’s feature film released in 1983, the one who played Fiorimondo Montechiari gave the reply to Isabelle Adjani. “Why didn’t you continue this acting career? You were stunning. (…) Everyone remembers you in Killer Summer“launched, almost forty years later, Éric Dussart in We redo the TV on RTL this Saturday, February 26. “‘Cause I wasn’t cut out for this. Insofar as I had the choice between being singer-songwriter or actor, you can’t do both”estimated Alain Souchon.
“I was told: ‘Get over there! Say that!’“
“I was not made for this at all”repeated the one who finds much more interest in his profession as a singer. “If I make a song and you tell me: ‘I love your song’it does something to me, it touches me a lot. If you tell me: ‘You’re good in Killer Summer‘I tell myself : yes, but it’s not me‘“confided Alain Souchon in the RTL media program of which Tele-Leisure is a partner. Four decades after this shoot, he obviously does not have very good memories of it. “I was told: ‘Get over there! Say that!’ I was obviously doing it properly, but it’s not the same”he continued.
He considers himself not to be one of the “great actors”
Alain Souchon, on the other hand, hailed in We redo the TV the talent of “great actors”, of which he therefore considers himself not to be a part. “It’s amazing to see Gérard Depardieu or Isabelle Adjani or people who are inhabited by their role and everything”explained the singer. “Me, I was not inhabited by my role. (…) It was not very interesting for me. It’s not the same as being one of those amazing actors.”, concluded on RTL the one who therefore did not come to promote a film, but to talk about the 15th edition of the Gala of the Alzheimer Research Foundation of which his son Pierre is the artistic director. Alain Souchon is currently on tour. He will notably sing at the Dôme de Paris on April 20 and 21. The 77-year-old artist feels much more at home in concert halls than on film sets.
