French actor Alain Delon has asked to die with the help of euthanasia. This is what his son Anthony said in an interview with RTL, Lenta.ru writes.
According to Anthony, his father has announced his intention to euthanize Switzerland and has already made a will. Anthony Delon added that he had promised to be with him when he decided to take such a step.
Earlier, Alain Delon admitted in an interview with TV5 Monde that he was not against euthanasia. “First, because I live in Switzerland, where euthanasia is legal, and also because I find it most logical and natural. From a certain age, from a certain moment we have the right to go to hell quietly – without hospitals, injections and everything else, “says the actor.
On June 14, 2020, Delon was taken to the Neuilly-sur-Seine clinic in the suburbs of Paris. He was hospitalized for recurrent migraine attacks. His eldest son, Anthony Delon, later said the actor had suffered a stroke and is now recovering at a Swiss clinic.
Delon’s movie star rose after the films Rocco and His Brothers and The Leopard. For his participation in the last film in 1963, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award as “The Most Promising Young Actor”. He won the Cesar Award for Best Actor in Our Story. He has made three directorial films: Behind the Skin of a Police Officer, Shock and Untamed.
