Alain Delon is undoubtedly one of the icons of French cinema. The charismatic actor has been compared to Brigitte Bardot in a man’s coat. Delon came to the film by complete accident, his path led to the career of a priest.
Delon’s life was already shaped by a difficult childhood. After his parents’ divorce, he ended up in a foster family. Even his surrogate parents were not a very good influence on him. Alain thus grew up as a loner, refusing to listen to everyone and hating authority.
Entry into the army
Perhaps also thanks to a wild childhood, his explosive nature escalated. In adolescence, he changed schools, and in adulthood, women again. Joining the French marines contributed to his sense of strong masculinity and self-confidence. He already fought in Indochina as a seventeen-year-old. Due to his ferocity, he did not last long in the army. After returning to reality, he supported himself as best he could. He was a waiter, porter and vegetable seller.
His appearance helped him to a better social position. A charismatic young man won the hearts of older rich women. Alain took the opportunity to keep these women company for money. The essential woman in his life was the actress Auber, she took him to the film festival in Cannes. There, Delon charmed Hollywood producers and directors and got his first role in When a Woman Gets Involved. From that moment on, Delon appeared in the best films of French cinema. His filmography is really long, he played for example in the films Rocco and his brothers, Black Tulip, Samurai, Adventurers, Borsalino, Two men in the city and others.
Wild love life
Countless women have passed through the bed of the movie giant. It was even speculated that he had a lover. Loyalty to his partner was definitely not one of his strong points. For example, he left his lover actress Romy Schneider for actress Nathalia Barthélémy. Alain shuttled between Roma and Nathalia. In the meantime, however, he managed to have an affair with model Niko, who gave birth to a son. However, there was one woman whom he declared to be his true and only love. This fateful woman was the French Mireille Darc, although they divorced, they remained close friends until the end of the life of the charming actress.
Delon often had an affair with his female colleagues. In every movie he shone next to some beautiful woman. For example, in the film Đábelsky váš from 1967, he edited several romantic scenes with the Austrian actress Senta Berger. In the film, they played a couple who were separated by a serious car accident.
