Munich –
David Alaba already rejected the new contract offer from Bayern Munich. Therefore, Alaba can leave Die Roten for free at the end of this season.
Alaba’s contract with Bayern has only one more season left, aka the summer of 2021. That means Alaba can freely negotiate with other clubs starting in January, if Bayern cannot agree on a new contract.
The problem is, Alaba is still refusing to extend his stay from Bayern. Even though Bayern in the latest news from ESPN are said to have offered a salary of 11 million euros, or around Rp. 187 billion per year, which could go up to 15 million euros if you add a bonus.
Alaba wants to be tied to a five-year contract by Bayern. The offer did not seem to satisfy Alaba enough that he refused. Thus, Alaba can negotiate with interested clubs starting next January.
Even Bayern can sell him in the transfer market this winter, if they don’t want to lose Alaba just like that.
“We have announced the latest developments since last week. We have submitted a very good offer to David and his agent some time ago,” said Bayern President Herbert Hainer to BR Blickpunkt Sport.
“During the last meeting, we asked for clarity at the end of October. We have not received any reply until yesterday and we have contacted the agent,” he continued.
“The answer is that the offer is considered unsatisfactory and we have to rethink the matter. So we decided not to continue these negotiations. That means there are no more offers for Alaba.”
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are said to be approaching David Alaba. Losing Alaba is certainly detrimental to Bayern because he is a versatile player capable of playing at left-back, center-back and midfield.
