Alaa Mubarak, the son of the late president, Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, accused the political thinker, Mostafa El-Feki, of hypocrisy, after he apologized for his statements that the late president, Gamal Abdel Nasser, was drinking alcoholic drinks (liquor) in the house of the late president, Mohamed Anwar Sadat.

Al-Feki had said on the “Black Box” program, “After what happened in 1967, Abdel Nasser was very exhausted and his health was deteriorating, and he felt the family warmth in Sadat’s house (his deputy at the time of his death in September 1970 and later president of Egypt… and he used to drink… “.

When the broadcaster asked him about the type of drink, he said: “Don’t like it. Most leaders drink because of work pressures and to escape from difficult circumstances.”

These statements sparked great controversy, which led to Al-Faqi making a phone call with journalist Mustafa Bakri, saying: “If there was a mistake, it was an unintentional and unconscious mistake. The statement came under conditions of extreme fatigue, and I thought they were external chats and not recorded.”
