Jakarta –
The Al-Zaytun Islamic boarding school located in Mekarjaya Village, Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, West Java, is known to have an area of around 1,200 hectares. However, the Indramayu Regency Government noted that only a portion of Al-Zaytun’s assets and Panji Gumilang land and building tax (PBB) paid.
Indramayu Regent Nina Agustina said there were three names at the PBB for the Islamic boarding school. Namely on behalf of Al-Zaytun, Panji Gumilang and several other names.
“There are three names for the PBB, the first is in the name of Al-Zaytun (Foundation), the second is in the name of Panji Gumilang, and the third has several names,” Nina said as reported by detikjabarFriday (28/7/2023).
Of the three, the name Al-Zaytun is known to have paid land tax. However, for land in the name of Panji Gumilang and other names, it was recorded that they had only partially paid off.
“Now for Al-Zaytun, it has been paid, but only the land. The second is on behalf of Mr. Panji Gumilang or on another name, we will check again because in 2022 only a portion of it will be paid off,” he said.
The Indramayu Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Service (DPMPTSP) admitted that Al-Zaytun paid taxes regularly. Every year, Al-Zaytun’s land and building taxes reach up to IDR 299 million.
