Al-Ujairi Scientific Center said that the moon will be seen in conjunction with the planet Jupiter (the giant of the solar system) this evening, Saturday, and Jupiter’s four moons (Galileo moons) can be seen with a small telescope. The center added in a press statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that those interested can see the state of conjunction and juxtaposition of the moon with Jupiter in the sky immediately after sunset and entering the night, and they remain visible until the next morning. The center called on those interested in astronomy to enjoy monitoring the phenomenon of conjunction, especially since Jupiter can be viewed at its most beautiful. He pointed out that astronomical scientific facts have shown that Jupiter, when in conjunction with the Moon, can capture comets heading to Earth due to its extreme massiveness. The center stated that Jupiter’s four moons (Galileo moons) can be seen with a small telescope as they constantly revolve around it in conjunction with the conjunction, adding that the red spot on the planet’s surface can be seen with a larger telescope.
