Al-Sisi departs Saudi Arabia after attending Suhoor banquet with Mohammed bin Salman

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi left the Saudi city of Jeddah, on Monday, after his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as the two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation, developments in regional and international situations, and issues of common concern, according to the news agency. Saudi Arabia (SPA).

It was announced that the Egyptian president had arrived in Jeddah at dawn on Monday, when he was received by the Saudi Crown Prince.

Al-Sisi held a meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman at a Suhoor banquet, in which they discussed “the close and historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, prospects for cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it in various fields, and they discussed developments in the regional and international situation and all issues of common concern,” according to “SPA”.

For his part, the Egyptian president published a picture through his official account on Facebook showing his meeting with the Saudi crown prince, and commented on it by saying: “I was pleased to meet my brother, His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and I express my gratitude and appreciation for the good reception and hospitality.” I affirm the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and I look forward to developing and strengthening them in all fields, in a way that achieves the common interests of our two countries and the great aspirations of our peoples.

Al-Sisi left Jeddah approximately 3 hours after his arrival, and Prince Muhammad bin Salman and a number of Saudi officials saw him off, according to the timing of my publication (SPA) on arrival and departure.

The Egyptian president had denied the existence of differences with Saudi Arabia on February 9, in light of articles and publications on social media between Saudi and Egyptian writers that suggested a dispute between the two countries.
