Al-Riyadi Club beat its rival Dynamo Club (2-1), yesterday, Friday, in the series of final matches of the Lebanese Basketball League, after winning the match that brought them together with a score (82-73).
Dynamo dominated the course of the first quarter, thanks to Jules Lawal and Ali Mahmoud, to advance the hosts (23-15), and Dynamo continued, thanks to its court shots, its advantage in the second quarter, which ended with a difference of 6 points (41-35).
The third quarter witnessed a revolution in the image thanks to Al-Riyadi’s solid defense, and Ali Mansour and Hayek scored three points, so the third quarter ended with a difference of 3 points (57-54), thanks to a deadly triple from veteran Ismail Ahmed.
Al-Riyadi continued his iron defense in the last quarter, with Diop Reith, the best yellow scorer, shining, bringing the difference to 18 points minutes before the end.
Zack Loftin led the Dynamo uprising to return after a long series of wasted shots at the athlete’s basket, which led to the commission of 18 “tarn overs” to reduce the difference to 6 points a minute before the end, but the athlete imposed his control on the last moments, so that the match ended with the victory of the athlete by 9 points.
Al-Riyadi defeated Dynamo in the second match (92-84), and lost the first match by nine points (87-78).
