The administration of the hospital expressed, Wednesday in a statement, “its thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for its generous and continuous support to al-Makassed hospital, through the Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency under of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI”.
In this regard, he commended the parties and the donor bodies, who have helped the hospital to continue fulfilling its mission in Al-Quds despite all the difficulties and obstacles, which reflects the commitment of the hospital to continue to to fulfill its national and human duty and to provide distinguished medical services to the Palestinian people in all regions of the country.
On the other hand, the general manager of al-Makassed hospital, Adnane Farhoud, emphasized the strategic plans aimed at developing the hospital, offering new services, such as increasing the income of the hospital and the increase in the number of beneficiaries of medical services in the city of Al Quds”, noted the same source.
He added that the reform plans carried out by the hospital management, which require more time, have contributed to paying off part of the accumulated debts and reducing the debt ratio by about 30%, noting that the difficulties Palestinian Authority budgets have had an impact on the financial commitments of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which has caused the hospital to accumulate debts.
To recall that the Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency continues to support the hospital institutions in Al Quds through medical supplies and medicines for the emergency services, including the main hospitals in the city and the Arab health center in the compound of the Al Aqsa Mosque.
In recent years, the Agency has equipped advanced laboratory medicine wards in the hospital, a special ward for patients with kidney failure, as well as dental surgeries.
