Al Nassr achieve victory against fellow star-studded teams, Al Ahly. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the brace and brought The Global Club won 4-3.
Seventh week Saudi Arabian League bring together Al Nassr vs Al Ahli. The duel took place at KSU Stadium, Saturday (23/9/2023) early morning WIB.
The home team opened the scoring when the game had only been running for four minutes. Ronaldo managed to break into Al Ahli’s goal which was guarded by Edouard Mendy.
Ronaldo’s goal came from Sadio Mane’s short pass. CR7 shot the ball towards the goal which was covered in green flare smoke. Al Nassr leads 1-0.
The home team doubled their lead in the 17th minute. Anderson Talisca managed to head in Aymeric Laporte’s header in the penalty box.
Al Ahli reduced the deficit 12 minutes later. Franck Kessie received Mohamed Al-Majhad’s breakthrough pass, before kicking the ball into Al Nassr’s goal.
Talisca scored his second goal in this match before halftime. His shot from the edge of the penalty line hit the crossbar and bounced into the goal without Mendy being able to stop it. Score 3-1 for Al Nassr was the result of the first half.

Al Ahli were awarded a penalty five minutes into the second half. Talisca violated an opposing player in the forbidden box.
Riyad Mahrez who stepped up as the penalty taker, successfully scored the ball into the goal. The score changed 3-2 in favor of Al Nassr.
CR7 BRACE! Ronaldo scored his second goal in this match in the 52nd minute. The Portuguese star fired a low left-footed shot that beat Mendy.
Al Ahli cut the deficit three minutes before normal time ran out. Firas Al Birakan scored a tap-in goal from Mahrez’s assist.
The visitors failed to equalize in the remaining time. The match ended with Al Nassr winning 4-3.
This victory brought Al Nassr up to fifth in the Saudi Arabian League standings with 15 points. Al Ahli is right below him and only lost on goal difference.
