Al Nassr returns to winning ways
Al Nassr comfortably won the derby against Al Riyadh (4-1) and returned to winning ways in the Saudi championship.
After the defeat against Jorge Jesus’ Al Hilal, Luís Castro’s team had no difficulty beating Al Riyadh, a team that was in the second tier last season. The visitors simply defended in the 1st half, trying to postpone Al Nassr’s goal… and CR7. Failed mission.
In the 33rd minute, Sadio Mané crossed into the area where a subtle touch from Ronaldo appeared to open the scoring. It was the striker’s 16th goal in the championship. In the first shot, Andre Gray (69′) reduced the goal in a quick counterattack, but Talisca closed the result in the final seconds.
