This is Al-Nasr’s fifth tournament loss since Ronaldo’s arrival.
This season, the team has already been eliminated from the Asian Champions League, and in the Saudi Arabian championship it is 12 points behind the leading Al-Hilal. The club can still win the King’s Cup of Saudi Arabia, in the semi-finals of which Al Nasr will again play Al Hilal. This match will take place on May 1st.
Last season, Al-Nasr finished second in the championship, were eliminated from the Saudi Super Cup by Al-Ittihad (1:3) in the semi-finals and lost in the semi-finals of the King’s Cup to Al-Wahda (0:1).
Since Ronaldo’s transfer, Al Nasr have won one trophy – the Arab Champions Club Cup, which is considered a friendly tournament.
