Al-Nasr Club, the runner-up of the Saudi Professional Football League, announced today, Tuesday, its contract with Senegalese star Sadio Mane, the German winger of Bayern Munich, in conjunction with the first appearance of the Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez, with the Saudi Al-Ahly team, in its friendly victory 5-0 over the Qatari North.

Al-Nasr published a video clip – via the X social networking platform formerly known as Twitter – titled “With One Voice: Sadio Mane Nasraoui.”

The video showed the voices of the crowd chanting Mane’s name, who interacted with her, and said at the end of the clip: “I can’t wait to hear your voice on the field.”

The announcement also included revealing the reserve uniform for the new season in Al-Nasr.

The Saudi club did not disclose the financial details of the deal, but press reports said that Al-Nasr paid 40 million euros ($43.85 million) to obtain the services of Mane, who had two years left in his contract with Bayern.

Mane, 31, joined Al-Nassr in the current transfer period, after the arrival of the Croatian Marcelo Brozovic, the Inter player, the Ivorian Sekou Fofana from the French club Lens, and the Brazilian Alex Telles, the full-back of Manchester United.

The Saudi League has become an attraction for stars since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr during the previous winter transfer period.

And Saudi reports stated that Al-Nasr included the name of Senegalese Mane (former Liverpool player) in his list to participate in the Arab Championship as a preemptive measure to sign with him at any time during the tournament, which happened later.

Al-Nasr has 4 points from two matches at the top of Group C, equal to its local rival, Al-Shabab.

Victory suffices a draw in the last round with Zamalek, third in the standings, with 3 points, to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The Monastir Union bid farewell to the competitions after receiving the second loss in two matches.

Mahrez participates for the first time with Al-Ahly

On the other hand, Brazilian Firmino shone in Al-Ahly’s 5-0 friendly victory over Al-Shamal Al-Qatar, in a confrontation that witnessed the first appearance of Algerian Riyad Mahrez and Frenchman Alain Saint-Maximin, who also scored with the Saudi team.

The three players joined the ranks of Al-Ahly, who returned to the Saudi Professional Football League this summer. This was the first match that Mahrez and Saint-Maximin played with the team led by German Matthias Yaisle in the first meeting since his appointment on July 28.

Firmino, the former Liverpool player who joined Al-Ahly on a free transfer early last month, opened the scoring in the 37th minute.

6 minutes after the start of the second half, Saint-Maximin, who joined the team at the end of last month, scored his first goal for the club, before the Brazilian player added the third goal in the 68th minute.

Abdul Basit Hindi and Fahd Al-Rashidi scored a goal each in the 74th and 86th minutes.

Mahrez had joined Al-Ahly club for 4 years at the end of last month, after a season in which he won the English Premier League, the Confederation Cup and the European Champions League with Manchester City.
