Arab Clubs Championship: A tie ends the summit of Al-Nasr and Al-Shabab, and a broad victory for Zamalek
The Saudi victory settled for a negative draw against its youth compatriot, on Friday, in the opening of their career in the Arab Football Clubs Championship held in Saudi Arabia, in the meeting that was held at King Fahd Sports City Stadium, for the third group.
In the same group, the Egyptian Zamalek started its career with a big victory over the Tunisian Monastir Union by a clean four, and the goals of the Tunisian victory were scored by Saif Al-Din Al-Jaziri (26), Ahmed Sayed “Zizou” (43) and substitute Sayed Abdullah “Neymar” (56 and 64), so that the Egyptian team topped the standings. With 3 points, behind Al-Nasr and Al-Shabab, then Al-Ittihad Monastir at the bottom of the standings.
In the fourth group, Al-Wehda defeated Al-Kuwait Al-Kuwaiti (2-1) at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha, where Suhail Al-Mansoori and Joao Bidour scored a double, while Ahmed Al-Dhafiri scored Kuwait’s only goal.
With this victory, Al-Wahda rose to the top of the first group with 3 points, and Kuwait continued without points, while Moroccan Raja occupied the runner-up with 3 points as well, after its victory in the opening of the group’s confrontations against the Algerian youth of Belouizdad with two goals to one.
