Lebanon is dominated by an upper air depression centered over the Black Sea, accompanied by cold air masses, affecting Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean. A cold polar mass leak occurred on Friday evening and will continue until the end of the week.
The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected that “the weather today will be cloudy, with temperatures continuing to drop, which become below their seasonal rates, as fog forms heavily on the heights and heavy rains sometimes accompany thunderstorms.”
And the Traffic Control Room stated in a tweet on its account via “Twitter” this morning, Wednesday, that “the Dahr al-Baydar road is passable in front of four-wheel drive vehicles or those equipped with metal chains.”

Tarshish-Zahle road is open to four-wheel drive vehicles only.
