Naser Al-Khelaifipresident of the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has granted this Monday a press conference with his franchise footballer, Kylian Mbappéto formalize the renewal of the Frenchman with the entity until 2025. The Qatari leader has not rejected any response and, even after convincing the striker, he has stuck out his chest and has attacked the Spanish league. He has done so after the association led by Javier Tebas denounced the renewal for financial fair-play issues.
First of all, on fair-play issues, Al-Khelaïfi has pointed out that this is the responsibility of the president of French Ligue 1. And then he has launched a surreal and comic attack: “Perhaps Tebas fears that Ligue 1 will become better than the Spanish league. This is good for us. The figures of Kylian Mbappé’s astronomical contract
On the other hand, he has refused to reveal the economic figures of the contract that Mbappé will have, although Eurosport reported that the world champion will receive a stunning renewal bonus of €300 million, plus a net annual salary of €100 million: “We will not make the figures public”, he said, assuring that “the most important thing for Mbappé is the sports project.” In this sense, it has transpired that he will have the power to decide the team’s coach, as well as to decide the new sports director (there has already been the change of Luis Campos for Leonardo) and to approve contracts, transfers and sales.
