Qatar’s Al Jazeera television network today rejected accusations by the Israeli military that one of its journalists wounded in an attack in Gaza is a member of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.

In its statement, Al Jazeera says its employment policy stipulates that employees should not have political connections that could affect their professionalism. He accused Israel of systematically targeting Al Jazeera workers in Gaza.

In early January, two of its journalists, Hamza Dahdu and Mustafa Thuraya, were killed when their car was hit in the southern part of the Palestinian territory.
