The Al-Ittihad team regained their winning tone in the Saudi Roshan League for this season with a great victory over their host, Al-Khaleej, with a score of 4-1, in the fifth round.
Al-Khaleej opened the scoring early in the fifth minute through his player Khaled Nari, and the first half ended with the visitors ahead.
At the beginning of the second half, Al-Ittihad rose and scored four consecutive goals, which came at the feet of Karim Benzema in the 49th minute, then Houssem Aouar in the 56th minute, followed by Steven Bergwijn in the 68th minute, and Hamed Al-Ghamdi finished the quarter in the 90th + 5th minute.
With this victory, Al-Ittihad rose to second place in the league ranking with 12 points, while Al-Khaleej’s balance froze at 3 points in thirteenth place.
In another match in the same round, Al-Ahly suffered a defeat against its host, Al-Qadisiyah, with a clean sheet scored by Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from a penalty kick in the 34th minute.
Despite Al-Ahly’s efforts to come back in the second half, Al-Qadisiyah managed to keep the lead.
With this victory, Al-Qadisiyah raised his score to 10 points and rose to fourth place, while Al-Ahly dropped to seventh place with 7 points.
