Al-Ittihad Prepares for El Clasico Semi-Finals Against Al-Hilal in King’s Cup

Friday – 30 Ramadan 1444 AH – April 21, 2023 AD

Jeddah: Ibrahim Al-Qurashi

Al-Ittihad players organized an indoor camp to prepare for the El Clasico match against Al-Hilal on Sunday in the semi-finals of the King’s Cup.
Al-Ittihad became fully prepared before the confrontation that it will host at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah (The Radiant Jewel), after the services of the duo Ahmed Sharahili and Abdulaziz Al-Bishi were restored, with the exception of the absence of Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti due to injury.
Al-Azraq also regained the services of Hamad Al-Yami after participating in the team’s training within its rehabilitation program following the injury he sustained.
The management of the federation allocated special rewards for the qualification card for the final.
The Portuguese coach, Nuno Santo, met with his players and urged them to redouble their efforts and focus more in light of the sensitivity of the stage and the importance of all matches awaiting the team, with an emphasis on the need for each player to adhere to the tasks entrusted to him.
It is expected that Santo will rely on the same names with which he participated in the last league match, amid a slight modification by including the Portuguese Helder Costa in the list instead of the Egyptian Tariq Hamed, who was suspended due to the accumulation of cards.
It is expected that Awad Al-Nashiri will participate in the main list, along with Bruno Henrique, with the aim of closing all spaces in front of the opponent.
Al-Ittihad qualified for the semi-finals of the King’s Cup after defeating Al-Fayhaa on penalties (4-3) after the match between them ended in a positive draw (1-1) in the quarter-finals.
Al-Hilal reached the semi-finals after defeating Al-Fateh 3-1.
