Al-Ittihad of Alexandria suffered a heartbreaking loss to Al-Arabi of Qatar in the final of the Arab Club Basketball Tournament, hosted by Zaeem Al-Thagher.
Al-Ittihad lost to its host Al-Arabi 71-81 in the match held at Burj Al-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
The match was held amid a festive atmosphere from Al-Ittihad fans, who painted an artistic banner showing a player from the team jumping towards the old Alexandria lighthouse and the phrase “Basketball was made in Alexandria” and another banner, “Championship Dream”.
The defeat of Al-Ittihad came to make everyone sad and sad, led by Mohamed Moselhi, the president of the club.
