Saudi Football Giant Joins Prestigious Global Club
Al-Ittihad Club, a venerable Saudi Arabian football institution, is set to make history. The club,founded on December 26,1927,is poised to become the first arab and Gulf club to join the exclusive Pioneers Club,an international institution comprised of the world’s most prestigious football teams. This momentous occasion marks the club’s entry as member number 32.
The official induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Abadi Arena Theater in Jeddah. The event will be held under the patronage of the National Calendar of Jeddah Governorate Activities and will include a special tribute to the club’s late honorary president, His Royal Highness prince Talal bin Mansour.
A Celebration of History and Achievement
The ceremony promises to be a spectacular affair. Attendees can expect an engaging exhibition chronicling Al-Ittihad’s rich history, showcasing its remarkable achievements and championship titles. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere will be musical performances by renowned Gulf artists Hussein Al Jasmi and Fahd Al kubaisi.
Engineer Louay mashabi, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, expressed his pride in this significant accomplishment. He stated, “Al-Ittihad Club’s joining the Al-Rowad Club reflects the long-standing and leadership of Al-Ittihad Club, after it maintained its activity and brilliance throughout these years, despite the many difficulties and challenges that faced its career and which it was able to overcome with the loyalty and sacrifices of its children.” Mashabi also extended his gratitude to the club’s Documentation and Details Center for their instrumental role in securing this prestigious membership.
