Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Video footage showed Musa Mariga, Al Hilal club striker, entering an altercation with Zdravko Lugarusic, coach of Al-Batin club, after the end of the two teams’ confrontation, in the 24th round of the Saudi “Roshan” league competition.
The 32-year-old Malian striker got angry at the Croatian coach before he pushed him, and the referee declared the yellow card in the face of the duo.
Footage of the altercation was widely circulated on Twitter, which caused an uproar.
Marega’s comrades had been defeated by Al-Batin Club on the latter’s land, with a goal for free, to freeze the balance of “Al-Azraq Al-Hilali” at 46 points in fourth place, 10 points behind the leaders of the standings, Ittihad Jeddah Club.
While this victory is the fourth for Al-Batin Club in the “Roushen” league competition, this season, reaching the 15th point in the sixteenth and last place.
