Where will Lionel Messi play next season? Yasser Al-Misehal hopes Al-Hilal’s offer is convincing enough.
Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Association, has confirmed his country’s interest in superstar Lionel Messi (35, PSG). The Argentine is currently being lured by top club Al-Hilal with a lucrative offer and if Al-Misehal goes, Messi should follow in their footsteps his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo (38, Al-Nassr) and will also soon be chasing goals in the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Misehal said at SSC News on wooing Messi: “I don’t have a new standing to be honest. But there is no doubt that personally I would love to see Messi in the Saudi Arabian league. He would complete the big step that Cristiano Ronaldo has taken is.”
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr after leaving Manchester United in January and by far the highest paid player in the world ascended. Messi, which should have an offer of several hundred million euros per yearcould even outperform the Portuguese significantly if he makes a move.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s contract with PSG is about to expire. Above all, his ex-club FC Barcelona and Inter Miami from the MLS are trying to win him over. The two clubs are said to be planning a collaboration, to secure Messi’s services for years to come.
Before making his future decision, Messi has the final Ligue 1 game against Clermont Foot at PSG. He may even surprise you by staying in Paris. Anyway, like Neymar, he was in the official promo pictures of the French champions with the new home jerseys for the upcoming season to see.
