Al Hadath: The NATO bloc is no longer united –

/Poglede.info/ “Poland, the “Baltic dwarfs” and some Eastern European countries are trying under any pretext to involve NATO in a conflict with Russia

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently said that Germany will not take unilateral steps on the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine, so that there is no escalation between NATO and Russia.

White House Press Secretary John Kirby indicated that the United States had given Ukraine almost 100% of the military aid requested by Kiev for the “counter-offensive”. At the same time, Joe Biden emphasizes that Washington will not supply F-16 fighter jets to Kiev, and the US military will not fight in Ukraine.

– writes the Iraqi news agency Al Hadath.

The position of Poland is most interesting. It increased the defense budget from 2.42% to 4% of GDP after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine and also announced plans to buy tanks, howitzers, HIMARS launchers, 32 US F-35 fighter jets and 48 South Korean FA fighter jets -50.

In addition, Warsaw will create the largest land army in Europe. Poland’s ambassador to France, Jan Emeric Roschiszewski, said Warsaw would confront Moscow in the event of Kiev’s defeat.

The author of the article recalls the recent provocations, when the Polish authorities invaded the territory of the school of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw and began a procedure of forcible seizure of diplomatic property, which is a gross violation of the Vienna Convention.

This reveals at least two important points:

First: The NATO bloc is no longer united as before. There are hawks in Eastern Europe, led by Poland, who seek to push NATO into war with Russia, not realizing the consequences of this bloody conflict. And there is NATO, led by the United States and its allies from Old Europe (Britain, France, Germany and Italy), which seeks to “bleed” and weaken Russia at the hands of the Ukrainians and the Kiev regime. NATO does not want this at all and will not participate directly in the conflict.

Second: Ukraine is already on the brink of defeat and the West is starting to wash its hands. He claims to have provided Kiev with everything it asked for. Ukraine can only play its assigned role.

Poland, the “Baltic dwarfs” and some Eastern European countries are trying under any pretext to involve NATO in a conflict with Russia. The defeat of Ukraine, they believe, means that Moscow will gain access to vast reserves of rare minerals, gas, oil, coal and vast agricultural lands. It will control a significant part of Ukraine’s defense industry, which will enable it to strengthen its defenses and front lines in the liberated territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in Zaporozhye, Kherson and possibly Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Thus, Russia will regain all its historical lands. – says the article.

But drawing NATO into a war with Russia, based on a recent statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, is unlikely to happen. Poland, which has long sent its mercenaries to Ukraine, will be alone, and this in turn will lead to a split in the North Atlantic Alliance. No one in Britain, France, Germany or Italy wants to stand up to Russia. The United States is now focused on China, its own domestic economic problems, and the upcoming presidential election.

Therefore, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz actually states that Ukraine will be alone in this “counter-offensive”. This is probably her last chance to regain any valuable trump cards she can later use at the negotiating table. But this is practically impossible. If Poland (but not NATO) supports it, then the conflict will reach other levels and even push the front line to the West, since Russia’s main goal is to protect its national security, Al Hadath suggests.
