Kediri, CNN Indonesia —
East Java again lost one of the figures of an old cleric. The caretaker of the Al Falah Ploso Islamic Boarding School, Kediri Regency, KH Ahmad Zainuddin Djazuli, has died.
Kiai Zainuddin reportedly died Saturday (10/7) afternoon. This was confirmed by the Secretary of the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management (PWNU) Akhmad Muzakki.
“Innalillahi wainnailaihi rajiun. Recently, KH Zainuddin Jazuly, the caretaker of PP Al Falah Ploso, passed away. Please pray for him, his family, all the caretakers and the alumni of Soho. Al fatihah,” he said.
The death of Kiai Zainuddin made NU very sad and lost. So far, the deceased is known as a charismatic scholar, firm and authoritative.
“We have all lost again the figure of a scholar who is firm, disciplined, full of authority, and risk-taker,” he said.
According to Zakki, the deceased was a kiai figure who not only provided benefits with his religious knowledge, but at the same time expanded the value of benefits in public and public affairs.
During his life, Kiai Zainuddin was one of the scholars who was often consulted by state officials, officials, and community leaders regarding the nation’s problems.
“The deceased extended his benefits to the wider public affairs through societal and political measures. We all lost upon his passing,” he said.
Meanwhile, PP Al Falah itself issued information so that students, wali santri or alumni do not have to follow the funeral procession. It is to avoid crowds and gatherings of people.
“All alumni, guardians of students and sympathizers are asked not to participate in the funeral procession at the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School,” said KH Nurul Huda Djazuli, as one of the caregivers.
