Al-Enezi’s vile act of burning reception tents of remarried husbands: 57 people killed

The fire of vengeance makes a woman a Kuwait named Nasra Yussef Mohammad al-Enezi intended to set fire to her ex-husband’s wedding reception. This event is even considered the deadliest civil disaster in Kuwait in the past 40 years.

At least 57 people died and about 90 others were injured. At that moment Nasra poured petrol on the tent where the women and children were gathered.

Within three minutes, the entire tent, which had only one exit and did not meet fire regulations, was engulfed in flames.

It was explained that the temperature inside the tent was over 500 degrees Celsius (930°F).

Al-Enezi was later arrested shortly after the incident. He too was arrested.

During the trial, Al-Enezi did not present most of his arguments. However, Al-Enezi and her ex-husband are known to have two sons, both of whom are mentally disabled.

After undergoing a series of trials, he was found guilty of premeditated murder and arson. He was sentenced to death on March 30, 2010.
