Al-Marsad newspaper: The writer, Mashari Al-Dhaidi, shed light on the dialogue that took place between the artist, Muhammad Abdo, and the young man, Ayed Al-Qarni, regarding his name, as part of the concert that the Arab artist filmed during the Riyadh season.
Al-Zaidi said in his article published in Asharq Al-Awsat, entitled “Muhammad Abdo and Ayed Al-Qarni”: In the concert that the most famous Saudi artist, and the great Arab, Muhammad Abdo revived, amidst the joys of During the Riyadh season, the young Saudi artist “Ayed” was accompanied by him to the theater, so much so that Muhammad Abdo surprised everyone with this revealing dialogue of improvisation:
Radio
Muhammad Abdo asks Saudi artist: Is this your real name, “Ayed”? The young man proudly replied: “Yes, that’s my name.” As if Muhammad Abdo wanted him to have a stage name that he would be famous for.
He added, then went on to a story that is why he writes the article today, saying that at first he went to Saudi Radio to register him as an artist, but the broadcasting committee asked him to change his name, in another stage name, so Abdo declined the offer and said I will not change my name and take your documents. Then, after a while, he found out the reason for the request, according to his understanding at the time, which is that the Grand Mufti of Egypt in the time of King Fouad – the narrative continues for our Saudi artist – is the Egyptian Sheikh Muhammad Abdo.
And he added, then “Abu Noura” was moved at the moment of the surprise, to say that the matter has returned today, with the artist Ayed, since I, the author of this article, have just discovered that the young creative Ayed belongs to the Arab noble tribe of Qarn, so it is Ayed Al-Qarni.
the awakening
And he added, but he is not Ayed al-Qarni, the star and preacher of the “awakening” phase in Saudi Arabia, and he is the owner of battles, arrivals and tours with opponents of the “awakening” from Ghazi Al-Qusaibi to Turki Al-Hamad, to others, to artists, led by Muhammad Abdo.
And the writer continued, quoting Ghazi Al-Qusaibi, the Saudi minister, writer, poet, novelist, administrator, statesman and diplomat. One of the most famous stories told about him is a story that happened to him with the star of Arabia Saudi Awakening, and also the international Salman Al-Awda, which Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the jurist of the Muslim Brotherhood, said of him: I can see myself.
The writer stated that the story is as it appeared in the electronic newspaper Elaph on August 16, 2003: “They say Dr. Ghazi Al-Qusaibi, when Al-Sahawi embraced Sheikh Salman Al-Awda at the Crown Prince’s house, after the Alla end of the national dialogue rounds held in Riyadh weeks ago, he began a line of poetry saying: O man who unwinds his turban, this is your moment, because my time has passed.
Al-Dhaidi pointed out that the house, as we know, belongs to the poet Jarir – with a distortion of some of his words in impotence – he said this to the jurist Rajaa bin Haywa, in the council of the Umayyad caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz, who has approached the clergy and drove away the poets, saying: This is your time, so you will grant us a life.
The writer pointed out: We do not know the authenticity of the story, the story of Ghazi and Salman al-Awda, but the awakening public at that time every bird flew with it, and they do not know that a time will come when they include their turbans and they don’t loosen them, and look for another creation to cover their heads!
suffering
And the writer said: Muhammad Abdo concluded with a sentence that seems to come from the heart of self-suffering when he said: God knows who is the spoiler and who is the reformer!
He concluded by saying: This “fresh” story that we have told you from Riyadh reaffirms, time after time, the need to document the awakening phase, which has had a great impact on Saudi society, in a complete, documentary, dramatic and scientific way , because he’s not dead yet… and he won’t die.
