West Ham United defeated its host Burnley, 2-1, today, Saturday, in the 13th round of the English Premier League.
All of the match’s goals came in the second half, with Jay Rodriguez opening the scoring for Burnley from a penalty kick in the 49th minute, and West Ham United equalizing through Dara O’Shea (an own goal) in the 86th minute.
The Czech Tomas Soucek was able to score the winning goal for West Ham United in stoppage time (90+1), so the score remained the same until the end of the match.
With this victory, West Ham raised its score to 20 points in ninth place, while Burnley’s score froze at 4 points in last place.
