The Urban Planning and Development Authority seeks to provide traffic data collection services, and for this purpose a tender has been launched for pre-qualification on the website of the Tenders and Auctions Board.
The Urban Planning and Development Authority is the government agency responsible for creating integrated and sustainable urban communities for the Kingdom of Bahrain in line with Bahrain’s National Planning and Development Strategy and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, according to the tender documents.
The authority looks forward to organizing and collecting road data and surveys for all infrastructure projects and traffic studies. One of these surveys is the traffic data collection service.
This service covers the collection of quantitative and qualitative traffic data for multimedia studies of passenger vehicles, heavy trucks, pedestrians, bicycles, buses, e-scooters, etc. to carry out studies required for infrastructure projects to improve traffic in general.
According to the documents, the studies required for infrastructure projects such as: lane studies, traffic signal improvement projects, intersection studies, access management studies, traffic impact studies, road safety audits, road widening and improvement studies, comprehensive traffic studies and studies, multimedia studies for pedestrians. and precise navigation.
The Council called on those wishing to participate in this tender, who have the necessary competence, to purchase its documents electronically through its electronic bidding system, and it will continue until Monday, corresponding to August 21, provided that the bid envelopes of the advanced companies are opened on the next day.
