7 people vandalized an ATM in one of the areas and burned it using petroleum and Molotov cocktails to carry out a terrorist purpose.
The incident indicates that the seven defendants agreed to burn an ATM machine owned by a bank in one of the regions, and they prepared for this incident in advance. The seventh defendant prepared a bottle containing flammable materials, “petroleum,” and a number of Molotov cocktails, and hid them in one of the abandoned houses near The ATM machine until the time of execution, and on the day of the incident, he assigned the first and second defendants to monitor the road leading to the ATM machine, to inform him of the presence of police officers or not, and at approximately three o’clock in the morning, the defendants went to the scene of the incident, filled plastic bottles with petroleum, and poured them on the ATM machine and on the floor of the machine cabin. They threw a Molotov cocktail at it and set it on fire until the machine burned completely.
After conducting the necessary investigations by specialists, it was found that the seven defendants were the perpetrators of the incident, and the Supreme Criminal Court of Appeal set a hearing for next October 1 to consider the appeal submitted by the five defendants against their 10-year prison sentence.
