Defender Inigo Martinez expressed his great happiness at moving to Barcelona after the end of his contract with Athletic Bilbao, during his presentation ceremony, today, Thursday.
“It’s great that they spoke so well of me. Since my arrival, the treatment I’ve been given has been fantastic. I’m happy to be part of that family. I come to work and help win titles,” Martinez said at the ceremony.
He commented on his first days at Camp Nou: “I’m trying to adapt. I’ve done a lot of training and met new people. I met the coach but there wasn’t much time to talk in depth. What he conveyed to me was confidence. I’m at a great club, he welcomes my help, and Xavi has shown me From the first minute he wanted me to be here.”
And about his concern about his registration in the Spanish League: “I am not worried about anything. From the first minute they told me the situation and there is nothing to worry about, I have to focus on my work.”
And looking at how many times he’s been close to signing in the past: “Many years ago, but that’s the world of football. One day you’re here, another day somewhere else, and every player knows what they have to do to be there.”
