Liverpool qualified for the round of sixteen in the European Football League with one match left in the group stage with a crushing 4-0 victory over its guest LASK Linz in Group E on Thursday.
The team competing in the English Premier League won the top spot in the group after reaching 12 points and after second-placed Toulouse tied 0-0 at home against Union Saint-Geloise.
Luis Diaz put the hosts ahead after 12 minutes with a header from Joe Gomez’s cross from the right before Cody Gakpo doubled the lead just three minutes later.
Mohamed Salah successfully scored a penalty kick to make the score 3-0 at the beginning of the second half, before Gakpo scored his second personal goal in the match and decided the result in stoppage time.
