A young man assaulted a number of police officers while they were performing their job duties, beating them and damaging property belonging to the Ministry of Interior.
Details indicate that the young man (24 years old) caused some damage to his father’s house. Accordingly, his mother filed a report about the incident, and the Ministry of Interior’s corporal initiated the procedures for the report received by him. He went, accompanied by a number of police officers, to the young man’s residence. When they entered the residence, they saw the young man and went to To him, but the young man expelled them from the residence and pushed them towards the door, so they tried to arrest him, but he showed violent resistance to that, which led them to spray pepper spray on his face to control him, and the matter did not work with the young man, and he continued to resist by taking the cleaning broom and hitting The policemen were in it, but the policemen were able to control him and put iron handcuffs on his hands, and while he was being taken to the police patrol, he wrapped his handcuffed around a member of Public Security, so his colleague intervened and took him away from him, and they were then able to bring him into the patrol.
While inside the patrol, the accused damaged the door handle without being able to open it. He was then taken to the police station, and while he was in the pretrial detention room at the police station pending a report, he damaged one of the beds in the detention room.
The First High Criminal Court set a session for October 30 to consider the case.
