His Highness praised the keenness of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to advance youth work in the Kingdom, and urged Young people develop their field capabilities by refining them through volunteer work, which constitutes the first incentive for young people to give and give in the charitable field.

This came when His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa delivered a speech at the ceremony attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the conclusion of the thirteenth edition of His Highness’s Award for Voluntary Work, which is organized by the Good Word Society in cooperation with the Arab Volunteer Union. To honor the pioneers of volunteer work in the Arab world.
The celebration was also attended by the Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Ashraf Sobhi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Zubair, and a number of officials, prominent figures and media representatives.

Tawfiqi drew attention to the efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa in promoting the culture of volunteer work in the Kingdom and the Arab world, which made His Highness’s award one of the most prominent awards aimed at urging young people and Arab personalities to promote volunteer work in our societies.
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of 15 prominent figures who are pioneers of volunteer work in the Arab world, in appreciation of their outstanding and distinguished contributions to humanitarian work, and their great role in promoting the culture of volunteer work, most notably the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, sister Majed Al-Hogail, and the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Egypt. In the category of civil organizations that won His Highness’s award for the best Bahraini volunteer project, the Bahraini Deaf Society won first place for its project, the Visual Center for Sign Language Medicine, the Bahrain Trust Foundation won second place for its hospital school project, and the Isa Town Social Charitable Society won third place for its digital transformation project. As for the category of volunteer teams and individuals, first place was won by the Paramedic Academy volunteer team, second place was won by the Fly with Your Dream team for the (Dream Big) project, and third place was won by the Amal Cloud volunteer team for the Amal Cloud project.
The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the award’s sponsors, namely the Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company (GPIC), Al-Bilad newspaper, Al-Ayyam newspaper, and Al-Watan newspaper.
