Al-Azhar Condemns Israeli Court Decision To Allow Jews to Pray in Al-Aqsa

KAIRO – Islamic education center Al-Azhar Egypt strongly condemned the court’s decision Israel who supports people Jewish to pray in the complex masjid al-Aqsa .

“The decision of the Zionist court regarding the right of Jews to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque is a flagrant violation of international conventions and human norms, and a clear provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world,” Al-Azhar said in a statement.

“Al-Azhar strongly condemns the decision of the Zionist entity’s court, which gave Zionists the right to pray in the courtyard of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” the statement continued, as quoted from Anatolia, Sunday (10/10/2021).

Al Azhar called on the international community to take all action against the Zionist entity’s violations of Palestinian places of worship and the al-Aqsa Mosque. Al Azhar also called for support for the oppressed Palestinians and their struggle to restore their confiscated rights and their abused land.

“Zionist efforts to Judaize Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, will inevitably fail. Al-Aqsa will remain a haven of pure Islam, and Jerusalem will remain Arab, and occupation will no longer exist,” Al-Azhar said in a statement. .

In a landmark ruling on Wednesday, an Israeli judge said that “silent” prayers by Jewish worshipers at the Al-Aqsa compound in occupied East Jerusalem were not “criminal acts.”

This problem was initially triggered by an Israeli rabbi, Aryeh Lippo, who was caught praying at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound. As a result of his actions, he was forbidden to visit the Muslim holy site.
