The World Health Organization expressed, on Saturday evening, its dismay at the continuing attacks by the Israeli occupation army on health care facilities throughout the Gaza Strip.

The World Health Organization said that Al Awda Hospital has been under siege since December 5, and two medical staff were killed while working inside it.

He announced that the toll of the Israeli aggression had risen to 17,700 martyrs and 48,780 wounded since October 7.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, confirmed today, Saturday, that Israeli occupation army snipers killed and wounded a number of pregnant women upon their arrival to Al-Awda Maternity Hospital in northern Gaza, and also killed some health personnel in the hospital during the past hours.

Al-Qudra previously said that work is underway to operate part of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex to save patients in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qudra explained in television statements to Al-Jazeera that the international community must criminalize the occupation’s use of ambulances in military operations.

The Gaza Health Spokesman called for the provision of field hospitals, as well as the provision of medical teams to deal with the crisis in the Strip, as the current mechanism for removing the wounded from the Strip does not meet the minimum level, and dozens of them are martyred due to the delay.
