The Al Ain Winter Rapid Chess Championship will be held in 7 rounds, according to the Swiss system, over two days, and each player gets a thinking time of 15 minutes for the match, with 5 seconds added to each move from the beginning of the match, according to the Fischer system for rapid chess competitions.
The tournament competitions are judged and managed by the Emirati international referee Ahmed Al Nuaimi, director of the tournament, and the Emirati International Federation referee Moza Al Maamari, head of the referees.
The Al Ain Winter Classic Chess Championship is scheduled to be held from February 23 to 27. The club will also host the Shaaban Championship today, Sunday, February 18, and the February agenda concludes with the holding of the “Al Ain Leap Day” tournament on February 29.
