A legal source in Al-Ahly club confirmed that the Football Association did not send any letter regarding summoning Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president, for investigation regarding one of the complaints.
Media reports had indicated that the Football Association decided to summon Al-Khatib for investigation regarding the complaint filed against Mortada Mansour, the former president of Zamalek.
“We have not received any letter from the Football Association regarding summoning Al-Khatib for investigation,” the source said in his statements to Yallakora.
“Al-Khatib does not attend these investigations, and the club’s executive director is basically the one who attends the legal representative of the club,” he added.
“The complaint is submitted in the name of the club’s executive director and not in the name of the club’s president, and therefore the executive director is summoned to attend the investigations and hear the statements.”
He concluded, “Even in the recent Kahraba crisis and the complaint made by the Al-Ahly club against Mohamed Fadl, who officially attended the executive director, after which the investigations were postponed.”
