Al-Ahly rejects a proposal to contract with Cooper to succeed Fyler

Al-Ahly club officials rejected a suggestion made by some inside the club to contract with Argentine Hector Cuper, the former coach of the Egyptian national team, to succeed Rene Fyler, the current coach, who will leave the team after the Arsenal match scheduled for next Wednesday in the Egypt Cup.

The Al-Ahly administration’s refusal to contract with Cooper comes as part of the club’s trip to contract with a foreign coach to take charge of coaching the team for the next period, after Al-Ahly decided to terminate Fyler’s contract starting from the first of next October due to the disagreement between the two parties over some of the conditions set by Fyler in order to stay with Al-Ahly.

In this regard, a source revealed to Al-Youm Al-Sabea that the club’s management, specifically the planning committee headed by Mohsen Saleh and whose membership includes Zakaria Nasif, along with Amir Tawfiq, director of contracts, along with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president and supervisor of the football team, have opened a hotline over the past few days to choose Foreign coach to succeed Fyler and the name Argentine Hector was floated Cooper But this proposition was not accepted by the majority of opinions in Al-Ahly because of the way in which the Argentine coach plays, which tends to completely defend him to move away from the image early.-

Al-Ahly club officials began thinking about another coach, which will be announced in the next few days to lead the team in the rest of the league matches that were officially decided by Al-Ahly recently and in the African Championship, where it will meet with Moroccan Wydad in the semi-finals of the African Champions League next October.
