Al-Ahly Club’s first men’s basketball team lost today, Wednesday, to the Moroccan Salé Association team, with a score of 85-78, in the semi-finals of the Arab Club Championship, which Qatar is hosting from October 1-12.
Al-Ahly advanced in the first period 25-17, then in the second period 42-36, then the two teams tied in the third period 55-55, then Salé advanced and ended the match in their favor in the fourth period with a score of 85-78.
Al-Ahly will compete for the bronze medal with Al-Kuwait of Kuwait, which was defeated by Beirut of Lebanon in the other semi-final, while Beirut of Lebanon will play against Salé of Morocco in the final of the tournament.
Al-Ahly finished runner-up in the last edition in Kuwait after losing to Al-Kuwait in the final.
The “Al-Ahly Basketball Men” achieved victory over the Al-Ittihad Alexandria team in the quarter-finals with a score of 82-77 in the match that was held in the Al-Gharafa Hall.
