Al-Abyad lists the total number of victims since October 8

The Minister of Public Health Firas Al-Abyad gave a detailed toll of the martyrs and the injured from Israeli attacks in a press conference held at the Ministry of Public Health in which he discussed the services provided to displaced people after their numbers increased following Israel’s raids on it. the southern suburbs.

The total number of martyrs and injured from the beginning of the events on October 8, 2023 to date is as follows:

Number of martyrs: one thousand six hundred and forty (1640), including one hundred and four (104) children and one hundred and ninety four (194) women.

The number of casualties: eight thousand four hundred and eight (8408), noting that there are still martyrs, missing persons, and body parts under the rubble.

The results for the period between October 8, 2023 and September 15, 2024 are as follows:

– Number of martyrs: six hundred and ten (610) martyrs, including thirty-eight (38) women and seventeen (17) children.

– Number of wounded: two thousand fifty six (2056)

The result for the period between the sixteenth of September 2024 and the twenty-seventh of September 2024 is as follows:

– Number of martyrs: one thousand thirty (1030), including fifty six (56) women and eighty seven (87) children.

– Number of wounded: six thousand three hundred and fifty two (6352)

Regarding the martyrs and wounded tax from yesterday, September 28, 2024, it is as follows:

– Number of martyrs: eleven (11)

– The number of injured people: one hundred and eight (108)

In the health sector:

Number of martyrs since the beginning of the events: forty one (41) health workers or ambulance.

Number of injured: one hundred and eleven (111).

Note that there were two strikes yesterday on health and medical centers in Deir Saryan and Taybeh, in which seven people were killed and four were injured from the health and emergency department.

Regarding the hospital sector, Minister Al-Abyad confirmed that no hospital has been out of service yet, but to reduce the burden on hospitals in the targeted areas and to allow people to access them, it worked Ministry of Public Health to evacuate patients and transfer them to other hospitals so they can continue their treatments.

The Minister of Public Health discussed the medical services and facilities provided to displaced people and explained that they can call the hotline 1787 to ask about any health services they need, and the add number 1214.

Al-Abyad said: “In the past three days, the ministry received more than 2,072 calls, including 450 cancer patients who were sent to other centers for treatment, and 159 dialysis patients who received the treatment as well, as well as other activities.”

He said, “In government hospitals, free services are provided to the displaced in collaboration with parties and partners, where patient differences are covered. As for mobile teams, their number has been increased from twenty-five to fifty, and work is underway to increase them to eighty teams.”

He pointed out, “The distribution of medicines to primary care centers has begun, and currently 197 primary care centers are connected to 419 shelter centers. Milk distribution will begin on Monday.”

The Minister of Public Health concluded by thanking teams from the unions of doctors, nurses, midwives and social workers for their efforts in supporting the Ministry of Public Health.

He asked for mercy for all the martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for all the wounded.
