Baltika players played a draw in the home match of the 23rd round of the First League. The result of the game against Akron at the Kaliningrad stadium is 1:1, the Klops correspondent reports.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 29th minute of the meeting. Kaliningraders fought, and the ball sent into the goal by Tamerlan Musaev was pushed by Yan Kazaev. Akron did not give up and fought to the end. In the 87th minute, the guests had a chance – the referee appointed a penalty kick against Baltika, which was converted by Andres Ponce. In the remaining minutes, both teams failed to score – a fighting draw. Akron has been headed by Evgeny Kaleshin since last year. The specialist worked for several years as part of the Kaliningrad club, but was never able to complete the task of entering the Premier League. The match at the Kaliningrad stadium gathered more than 10.8 thousand fans.

“The opponent did not let us play well. I am dissatisfied with the game. Spectators came to watch good football, and two innings ended in goals: the first – they pushed the ball, the second – a penalty. That’s 90 minutes of football with 10 thousand in such a stadium. We have to think about what we leave behind. A fan should have fun,” Akron’s head coach Yevgeny Kaleshin said after the match.

Baltika’s coach Sergey Ignashevich said that the point earned is a move forward. “The game showed us where to improve. In some moments they lost. I would like to play more reliably, more actively on the flanks, ”the Kaliningrad coach commented.

Now Baltika confidently occupies the first line in the second division of Russian football. Taking into account the failures of competitors, the gap from the second place is 4 points, and from the third – 7.
