With a modest post, SYRIZA MP Elena Akrita thanks the editor of Documento, Costas Vaxevanis, for what he wrote in his post regarding the decision of the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, not to invite Elena’s mother to the event for the 50th anniversary of the Movement. Akrita, Sylva, who was the first female MP elected with PASOK.
“My mother and I thank you, Costa Vaxevani,” says Elena Akrita in her post, quoting the comment of Documento’s publisher. In fact, he adds that: “For the record, my mother left politics when Simitis became prime minister. The mind understands”.
In his post, Kostas Vaxevanis states: “When Sylva Akrita entered the Parliament as the first female PASOK Member of Parliament, Nikos Androulakis was unborn. When he was born, Greece was different thanks to this and other forms of the progressive movement. The least he should have done was to respect her, as well as all her family who fought for the Republic. He didn’t even invite her to the PASOK 50th anniversary celebration. Because what value do Sylva Akrita, Melina Merkouri and all of them have in front of Androulakis? Huge and black is his shadow that he thinks is his boi.”

It is recalled that earlier Elena Akrita had spoken of the “indecency” of Nikos Androulakis for not inviting Sylva Akrita to the PASOK event.
“My mother gave matches, from the first day of the foundation of PASOK and for many years after that. Sylva Akrita’s ban is not getting any shorter, no matter how hard some try even today,” says the SYRIZA member of parliament.
“Mr. Androulakis, who discredits and despises the history of his party, be happy PASOK – Movement for Change. (The bouquets you sent her, Niko)” he emphasizes.
At the same time, he accompanied the post with a photo depicting “three emblematic women of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement with Archbishop Makarios on their visit to Cyprus. In front is Sylva Akrita and in the second row Amalia Fleming and Melina Merkouri”.
