A confrontation broke out between Elena Akrita and Harilaou Trikoupis on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of PaSoK. The SYRIZA member of parliament, in a post on social media, reacted strongly by personally accusing Nikos Androulakis that her mother, Sylva Akrita, did not receive an invitation.
As Ms. Akrita emphasizes, among others, “at the celebration for the 50th anniversary of PaSoK, Nikos Androulakis did not invite Sylva Akrita, a founding member and the first female member of parliament in the history of the movement. The president of the party is personally charged with indecency. My mother gave matches, from the first day of the foundation of PaSoK and for many years after. In the same post, Ms. Akrita accuses Nikos Androulakis of discrediting and disdaining the history of the party.

With a post on Facebook, Elena Akrita’s mother, Sylva, recalls some events, “just for the record” as she typically emphasizes.
After pointing out that she was a founding member of PaSoK and the only female member of parliament in the party’s first 12-member parliamentary group, she says that she could feel bitter that she was not invited to the “fiesta of 50 years”. “And I keep my brakes and after all I’m still alive” he says.

Charilaou Trikoupis sources responded, saying that “for ten days, both the office of the President of PASOK and the former President of the Parliament, Mr. Apostolos Kaklamanis, tried to contact the founding member of the Movement, Mrs. Sylva Akrita, by phone. After repeated annoyances, Mr. Kaklamanis informed her about the anniversary event in Zappeion. However, there has since been no response to repeated phone calls to provide details of the event.”
The same sources conclude by accusing Ms. Akrita of trying to create misleading impressions. “Nikos Androulakis deeply respects all the founding members of PaSoK. We regret that with offensive characterizations on social media, Mrs. Elena Akrita is attempting to create misleading impressions”, they note.
At the same time, they present the honorary plaque with the name of Mrs. Sylva Akrita.
