Two metallurgical enterprises belonging to Akhmetov’s Metinvest group are located in Mariupol.
Businessman Rinat Akhmetov plans to visit Mariupol on February 16. About it reported his press secretary Anna Terekhova told Interfax-Ukraine in response to a question about where the businessman would be on Unity Day.
“According to my information, on February 16, the Unity Day, Rinat Akhmetov will be in Mariupol,” she said.
Terekhova did not specify the purpose of the visit.
It should be noted that two metallurgical enterprises of the Metinvest group are located in Mariupol – Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal.
Recall that the Western media called February 16 a possible date for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Against the background of this information, foreign diplomats, businessmen and some deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
